In Sydney, Australia, you can find two Burmese cat brothers who are always ready to pose and entertain the masses with their cool Burmese cat antics. If you’ve never had the pleasure of meeting a Burmese cat before, I can assure you that Dash and Rafa are the epitomai of their breed. They’re gorgeous, silly, and always ready for attention. The older of the Burmese cat bros is Dash, a stunning retired show kitty, and then there’s Rafa, who’s a showstopper in his own right.
I came across their profile on Instagram and was instantly smitten. And, if you’re a sucker for cats with fabulous brown coats that always look great in photos, then chances are, you will be too! Dash and Rafa’s cat mom allowed me to share their pics and stories with all of the Cattitude Daily readers, so keep reading to learn all about this purrfect pair from down under!
How did you choose their names?
Dash is named after Lord Dashwood in Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility. Rafa is named after tennis player Rafael Nadal (full name is Rafael Na’Meow)
How do they get along with one another?
We are absolutely in LOVE with each other; we cuddle and spoon and hold hands when we sleep. Dash always gives Rafa a nice bath and grooming before nap time.
How would you describe each of their personalities?
Dash – a bit of a snob but loves a belly rub and 1:1 attention as a retired show cat, he also loves the camera 📸 so always perks up when the camera is on him.
Rafa – is a very intelligent young man, will do ANYTHING for a treat, and is always hungry. Loves cuddling in bed when it suits him but is a bit more adventurous and independent during the day.
What are their favorite hobbies?
Dash – loves sunbathing on the balcony, watching Meowmy work, eating his greens, and chewing on nail files
Rafa – Love singing (usually at closed doors), playing fetch with his pink birdie, chasing flies, and watching lizards on the balcony
What’s something special you’d like for people to know about Dash and Rafa?
We are the cutest Burmese brothers with very unique personalities and we make our Meowmy laugh every day! Our Meowmy says we are a blessing and she is so grateful for us.
I’d like to give a special “thank you” to Dash and Rafa’s cat mom for allowing me to share her cute cats with all of the Cattitude Daily readers. For more on this purrfect pair of cat brothers, be sure to check them out here on Instagram.
