There is something so effortlessly cool about Maine Coon cats. That fluff, those faces, and their oh-so-regal demeanor matched with hearts of gold. It’s hard not to fall instantly smitten with these perfectly fluffy felines, and if you’ve shared your life with one, then you know very well just how special these cats are.
For two super eye-catching Maine Coon cats in Virginia, they’re stealing hearts on the internet with their adorable poses and cute cat antics. I caught up with their cat mom, and she allowed me to share Paris and Pierre’s lovely images and stories. So, enjoy getting to learn all about this cute duo of kitty cats!
(The following answers to my questions were provided in the voice of the cats)
How did you come up with their names?
Paris – My full name is Paris Cosette. My humans got engaged in Paris and have always loved France. Cosette comes from a character in Les Miserables, their favorite play.
Pierre – Like my sister Paris, my humans wanted to name me something French, so Pierre it was. My full name is Pierre Monet. Monet comes from their favorite painter.
What is each of their personalities like?
Paris – I’m a very prissy and classy feline. I’m very loving but only on my terms.
Pierre – Most humans that know me describe me as a frat boy. I’m a golden retriever disguised as a Maine Coon.
What are their favorite hobbies?
Paris – My favorite hobby is playing with my feather toy. I can jump extremely high in the air after it and love showing off how athletic I am. When I’m not playing with my feather I’m splashing in my water bowl.
Pierre – My favorite hobby is greeting and twirling for all of my fans that come up to the door to say hello. I’m also fascinated with water like my sister and have discovered how to turn on the water.
How do they get along with one another?
Paris – I tolerate my brother and enjoy a good game of hide and seek (and ambush).
Pierre – I love my sister Paris. She sometimes sits in my favorite spot so I just sit on top of her. It’s a win-win.
Do they make the chirp and trill sounds like other Maine Coons?
Both – We chirp whenever we need attention, which is always. We also spend a lot of our day trilling at all of the birds outside our windows. If only we could get our paws on them.
What’s something special you’d like people to know about Paris and Pierre?
Both – We play hard and love even harder.
