Feral Cat Transforms Into A Sassy Sweetheart Thanks To Lots Of Love

I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for feral cats. And if feral cats can teach us anything about the world, it’s that love and patience can go a really long way. For a cat which is feral, this is a hard life to live. But thankfully, there are many kind-hearted folks out there who take it upon themselves to help these cats live a better life.

For Samantha, who was once just a lonely feral cat, she was fortunate to have fate on her side in the form of a sweet woman who wanted to help get her off the streets. This thirteen-year-old feline spends her days being treated like the princess that she is, and her humans wouldn’t have it any other way!

So, everyone, meet sassy and sweet Samantha, a former feral tuxedo cat you’ll be sure to love.

How did Samantha come into your life?

Samantha was born a feral cat in a small abandoned orchard on the street where I lived. There was just her and her brother in the litter and their mom either left them or didn’t survive. When they were about 5 months old, my mom and I trapped them with the intent to foster and adopt out. After living with me for about a month, my mom took them to an adoption event where I showed up and took Samantha back. I couldn’t part with her! Her brother Jackson came back, too. He lives with my mom.

I know that tuxedo cats are known for their cattitude, how would you rate Samantha’s cattitude?

On a scale of 1–10 her cattitude is definitely a 10 or beyond! She has been a princess since day 1 and expects nothing less than the royal treatment daily.

What is her personality like?

Samantha behaves more like a human rather than a cat. She is strong, independent and sweet. She prefers to be alone most of the time, but when she chooses to be with you she is the most loving little girl ever. She is very patient and tolerant with all beings. No matter humans, cats, dogs or bugs she treats everyone kindly. She will put her little brother in their place if they bother her too much, but is never mean.

Does she have any other cat or dog housemates at home?

She currently has two little brothers Louie and Jimmy. She has also lived with many other cats throughout her 13 years.

What are her favorite hobbies?

Relaxing. Samantha has never played much even as a baby. She prefers to lounge around in cozy spots, watch tv and wear accessories. She also loves to have her hair brushed with a human hair brush.

What’s something special you’d like people to know about Samantha?

She likes to burrow. Will dig her way under the covers and spend the whole day there.

I’d like to give a special “thank you” to Samantha’s cat mom, Kristin, for allowing me to share her sweet and sassy kitty with all of the Cattitude Daily readers. Samantha is proof that rescuing saves lives, and that even feral cats can learn to be affectionate and loving kitty cats. Because once you’ve won their hearts, you’ll have it forever.
