Country Star Miranda Lambert Rescues Kitten From Busy Highway

When you have a heart for animals, you’re likely going to stop what you’re doing when you see one that needs your help. For one tiny ginger kitten in Texas, he found himself on a busy motorway with not a soul in sight to help him. That is, until country music superstar Miranda Lambert, and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, spotted him. Brendan was the first to notice the terrified kitten, and turned the vehicle around knowing that a full-on feline rescue mission was about to take place!

If you don’t know much about Ms. Lambert aside from her country crooner persona, know that she’s a HUGE lover of animals and a big-time advocate for rescue. It’s nice to see a star like her use her name for good when it comes to our four-legged friends, and Miranda works hard to help dogs and cats all over the US to find forever homes. That’s why she even started her own nonprofit called MuttNation to help better the lives of shelter pets all across the country.

When it comes to the incredible rescue of one super tiny ginger kitty, Miranda shared a post with her Instagram followers about the kitty now called Tequila:

Two lane highway in Texas, speed limit 70. Brendan slows down and does a U-turn… Me to B: “why are you turning around? “

]B to me: “there’s a kitten in the road and I knew you would kill me if I saw it and didn’t stop.”

Well I guess the rescue ways are rubbing off on him. 👏👏 We stopped at mom and dads on the way home. Dad has a new bestie. This kitten rode 9 hours back to Nashville with us and 3 dogs and was such a champ. He is 4-5 weeks old and weighs 14 Ounces. 💙😻. Y’all welcome Tequila the kitten to the family!

The world could certainly use more kind-hearted celebs like Miranda, that’s for sure! If you know someone who’s a fan of hers, don’t forget to share this uplifting story with them.
